Vow Renewal in Oahu – Nelly and Mitch are a special couple that have a special relationship with Oahu. Although they live in California, Mitch proposed in Oahu. It is where they had their honeymoon and also where they had their 5-year anniversary. We were really excited to get the chance to cover them as they returned for their 10-year anniversary mark. This time with their 9 and 6 year old children.

The Renewal Wedding Ceremony

Nelly and Mitch did not have an overly elaborate ceremony. It took place at Sherwood forest in Waimanalo Beach, Oahu. There the couple had their children officiate as the renewed their vows. They also made vows to their children and it was the most beautiful celebration. The few moments they spent promising love to each other was the most magical vow renewal we have ever seen.

The Family Vow Renewal Photo Session

This couple had their photos taken at multiple locations. Nelly first had her makeup session with DianaRose Spells. Then they had the shoot at Waimanalo Beach, Makapuu Lookout and Makapuu Beach.

Nelly and Mitch’s family is lovely and we were grateful for a chance to be able to show what we mean. We used star fish as photo props for the rings and they were beautiful. We also captured everyone on the sand. Everyone had on Leis and Nelly had the most beautiful flower bouquet. You’ll see it in their daughters hands some times though.

Taking pictures of this couples on the rocks overlooking the turquoise blue ocean was a sensory delight. The atmosphere was very picturesque. The fact that everyone had on all white was also a lovely added advantage. Nelly and her daughter also put on flower crowns at some point. This couple is fun and you can see how much they all love each other in their pictures.

How We Did at Nelly and Mitch’s Photoshoot

We loved capturing this shoot. This couple was amazing to work with and so much fun. We had previously asked that Nelly send us images of the kinds of pictures she’d like and we were happy to be able to deliver that.
