Kualoa is a nice sand beach enjoyed by many swimmers who appreciate the usually calm water, though snorkeling is sometimes hampered by cloudy water. There is plenty of shade at Kualoa as well as a large grassy area nice for relaxing and picnic tables perfect for gatherings. Nearby is the wetland habitat of the 3-acre Apua Pond as well as Molii Fishpond to the southwest of Kualoa Point.   (sunset is not visible from this location)
